We pulled in beside Lake Albert on the outskirts of Meningie to have a quick lunch before continuing on towards Robe, which we hoped to make late in the afternoon. However, when we passed the sign to Parnka Point we stated to think about stopping there for the night. We arrived at Parnka at about 9:30am, unloaded and got the gear into the yaks. As with all long distance yak trips, there was a 'shuttle' arranged. I drove my Pajero to Meningie to meet a friend of Ray's who agreed to ferry me back to Parnka after accompanying me to Marks Point to leave my car for when we finished.
